This virtual event aims to bring together CERN technical experts and industry around the topic of PCB and Electronics Cards Assembly Manufacturing.
It targets suppliers from Member and Associate Member States** and with the profiles listed below:
Firms producing bare PCBs :
- In conformity with IPC-A-610 class 2 and/or 3, depending on the project complexity;
- Using halogen free base material;
- Working with High Tg (min. 150°C) base material;
- Using ENIG surface finish, either in-house or via subcontracting.
Firms proposing electronics cards assemblies:
- With their own production’s equipment for electronics card assembly and do not subcontract any processes of electronics assembly activities;
- Who can either procure the full BOM (bare PCB and components) or accept partial or full kitting of the BOM from CERN to carry out the assembly;
- With industrial cleaning equipment in-house for cleaning of each electronics card after assembly;
- In conformity with both IPC-A-610 class 2 and/or 3 compliance for all electronics productions, depending on the project complexity.
The event will communicate about forthcoming projects and on how the PCB and Electronics Cards Assembly Manufacturing are run at CERN.
An afternoon session is dedicated to virtual B2B meetings amongst CERN Technical parties, Procurement Team and Companies. Companies will also have the opportunity to organize meetings amongst each other.
